Shipping & Returns

What it costs, how long it takes, and what happens if it is not right.

Delivery

Delivery within Ghana is GH₵40, and free on orders over GH₵1,500. International shipping is quoted at checkout by destination rather than averaged into one flat rate.

Ready-to-wear orders are dispatched within two working days. Made-to-measure has its own lead time, given when the commission is agreed.

Returns

Anything unworn, with its tags attached, can be returned within 30 days of delivery.

Within Ghana, return delivery is arranged by us and deducted from nothing — we cover it. Internationally, return postage is the customer’s, unless the piece is faulty or we sent the wrong thing.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the piece has been received and checked, usually within five working days.

What cannot be returned

Made-to-measure and bespoke pieces cannot be returned, because they are cut to one person’s measurements and cannot be resold. This is the trade for having something fit properly, and it is stated again before you confirm a commission.

Pierced jewellery cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

If a bespoke piece does not fit as agreed, that is our error and we will alter it at no cost.

Duties and import charges

Orders shipped outside Ghana may attract import duty or tax in the destination country. These are set by that country, are not included at checkout, and are the recipient’s responsibility.

We declare the full value on every parcel. We will not mark an order as a gift or under-declare it.

Handmade variation

Hand-joined kente steps slightly at the seam. Pit-fired clay blooms dark where the flame touched it. Cast brass varies at the edges. Hand-painted beads are never identical.

None of these are faults and none are grounds for a return on their own — they are what the object is. Where a piece varies, the product page says so before you buy.

Faults and repairs

If something has gone wrong with a piece — a seam, a bead thread, a crack — email mybelberry@gmail.com with a photograph.

We will tell you honestly whether it is a fault, whether it can be repaired, and what that involves. Beadwork can almost always be restrung; seams can be remade.
